Statistics: Russia’s GEP falls by 0.4% in January–June

MOSCOW, Aug 31 (PRIME) -- The contraction of Russia’s gross domestic product amounted to 0.4% on the year in January–June, the Federal State Statistics Service said in a statement on Wednesday.

Previously, the service said that Russia’s GDP fell by 4% on the year in April–June and grew by 3.5% in January–March.

The Economic Development Ministry earlier estimated the fall of GDP in January–June at 0.5%.
